You try them on behind a closed door, and your fitter checks the fit from the outside: does the band sit level, do the cups lie flat, is anything digging in. The questions your fitter is really asking
Whether you are being fitted in person or checking your current bras at home, the same handful of questions tell you almost everything about fit:
- Is the bra comfortable, with no poking, aching, or skin irritation?
- Does the back strap stay level, or does it ride up toward your shoulders?
- Does any part of your breast spill outside the cup, or is there a gap inside it?
- Does the center panel between the cups sit flat against your chest?
- Does the bra leave marks on your shoulders by the end of the day?
